Atlas 9KBPX Baseplate Two-Post Lift
The Atlas 9KBPX is a well-engineered baseplate-style two-post car lift designed for garages with low ceilings. Unlike overhead-style lifts, which require significant ceiling clearance, this model’s total column height of 111 ½ inches (9 feet 3 ½ inches) makes it suitable for most residential and commercial garages with ceilings as low as 9 feet 6 inches.
This lift features a “chain over roller” lifting system, ensuring smooth operation and durability. The dual hydraulic chain-drive cylinders provide reliable lifting power, while the automatic arm restraints secure vehicles in place for added safety.
It is an excellent choice for homeowners and small commercial shops looking to service a variety of vehicles, including cars, SUVs, and light-duty trucks. However, it is not recommended for lifting diesel dually or other large trucks, as it is specifically designed for lighter vehicles.
Key Features Explained
9,000 lb. Lifting Capacity
The Atlas 9KBPX is rated to lift vehicles weighing up to 9,000 pounds, making it ideal for a wide range of vehicles, from compact cars to mid-size SUVs and light trucks.
Baseplate, Open-Top Style Lift
Unlike overhead lifts, this model features a baseplate design, meaning the hydraulic lines and equalizing cables run along the floor instead of over the top. This is a crucial feature for garages with low ceilings, as it eliminates the need for additional overhead space.
Designed for Low Ceiling Clearance
With columns standing at just 9 feet 3 ½ inches, this lift is perfect for garages with ceilings as low as 9 feet 6 inches, ensuring it can be installed in a variety of settings without requiring major modifications.
Symmetric Arms for Balanced Lifting
The symmetrical arm design ensures balanced weight distribution when lifting vehicles. This is beneficial for evenly distributing pressure across the lift points, making it safer and more effective for different vehicle types.
Dual Hydraulic Chain-Drive Cylinders
The lift operates using a dual hydraulic chain-drive system, providing consistent and powerful lifting while maintaining efficiency. This system is widely used in professional-grade lifts for its reliability and durability.
Secondary Lock System (SLS) for Safety
This spring-loaded safety system automatically engages in the event of a slack or broken chain, preventing sudden vehicle drops. This ensures enhanced protection for both users and vehicles.
Automatic Arm Restraints
Each lifting arm has automatic locking mechanisms, keeping them in place once the vehicle is lifted. This prevents movement or shifting during repairs, improving overall stability and security.
Dual Point Lock Release
The dual lock release system allows for secure and stable vehicle lifting. The operator can easily disengage the locks simultaneously when lowering the vehicle.
Free 8-Piece Truck Adapter Set
Included with the lift is an adapter set to accommodate vehicles with higher lifting points, such as SUVs and light-duty trucks. This extends the lift’s usability across a wider range of vehicles.
Mounting Hardware Included
The Atlas 9KBPX comes with all necessary mounting hardware, ensuring a hassle-free installation process.
